As the teahouse is open to the courtyard sparrows have moved in an fly around the tables to pick up crumbs when guests have left. Probably not very hygenic but certainly quite entertaining to watch. (I wonder if they all suffer from diabetes though)

La Grande Mosquée
On the corner opposite to the wonderful "Galerie de l'Évolution" of the Jardin des Plantes lies the "Grande Mosquée de Paris" with its Hammam, teahouse and restaurant. I have long wanted to visit the place where you can have delightful oriental pastries with mint tea in a truly exotic setting. When you step into the courtyard it is almost like having taken a magic carpet to North Africa.

Hier atmes alles Geschichte.
