Ever wondered what it takes to behave like a mean Parisian?

Sorry no pictures yet. I am still recuperating. Nothing beats the Newfoundland fresh and salty air to get rid of a sinus infection. In fact, since moving to Newfoundland almost six years ago I have not had one sinusitis, whereas in population dense areas away from the ocean I have had my fair share quite regularly.

On to the "mean Parisian" bit. Honestly, I don't find Parisians any meaner than other people, but if you do meet a mean person here, the specific meanness may be defined as a typical Parisian arrogance. But again, I hardly ever meet people of that sort. Well, maybe that waiter at "La Cave de Bourgogne", but he was clearly acting ...

Anyways, if anyone reading this blog is planning to come to Paris and wants to enjoy a show in English, I have something to recommend to you. It was an odd coincidence that a very old acquaintance of ours, whom we first met in Munich and again in Berkeley is the director of a one man show in Paris. How to become Parisian in one hour shows in a tiny theatre called Théatre de la Main d'Or in a tiny side street of the Rue du Faubourg St. Antoine, the Impasse de la Main d'Or. Played and written by Olivier Giraud the show is exhilaratingly funny as it plays with all kinds of national clichées.
